Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)
The Cooperative Alliance for Regional Transportation (CART), the public transportation system serving the nine-town Greater Derry-Salem region of southern New Hampshire, hereby announces the establishment of a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal of 0.5% for Section 5307 programs as authorized by the Federal Transit Act of 1964, as amended, for the Federal Fiscal Year October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008. The proposed goal, rationale and information regarding the DBE Program are available for public review at the address below, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for 30 days following the date of the release of this notice (04/17/08). Comments regarding the goal and DBE Program will be accepted for a period of 45 days following the publication of this Notice and should be addressed to either:

DBE firms that are able to supply parts, supplies, or services are encouraged to apply for certification by contacting the NHDOT Labor Compliance Office. Certified DBE firms are encouraged to submit a brochure, catalog and/or letter of interest stipulating qualifications and areas of interest.
